EAPS 61 Hydroclimatology

Interactions between energy and water shape the natural environment and society.  This course examines the spatial and temporal dynamics of the hydrologic cycle, focusing on radiative and turbulent fluxes, precipitation, evapotranspiration, vegetation, snowpack, soil moisture, runoff, and anthropogenic influences.  Lectures introduce key topics, complemented by computer modeling exercises and a research project that allows students to apply the concepts learned in class to a topic of interest.
