EAPS 34 Biogeochemical Cycles
This course is a survey of biogeochemical interactions among Earth’s crust, oceans, and atmosphere, including perturbations due to human activities. Particular attention is given to carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and sulfur biogeochemical cycles and the role of these cycles in applied environmental challenges including, for example, warming of the atmosphere from greenhouse gases, sustainable production of food, and inorganic wastes in marine and aqueous systems.
