PH 118 Community Health: Needs Assessment
This course develops defining skills in public health: assessing a community’s needs, designing programs to address those needs, and evaluating the success of those programs. Students will learn the principles of engaging with communities to conduct these processes. Working in teams, students will 1) engage in data collection activities as part of developing community health needs assessments, issue-specific needs, and assessments of programs and 2) learn to design and evaluate health programs in response to needs. Students will identify strengths and opportunities for improvement of these needs assessment processes.
