QSS 81 Major Thesis Research

This course is part of the two-track major in QSS. Students in the honors thesis track of the major will register for QSS 81 in the winter quarter of their fourth year. Participating in this course requires work and engagement during the fall, winter, and spring terms of a student's fourth year. Students applying to write an honors thesis in QSS should have at time of application an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher. 

Students are awarded one course credit for successful completion of this course at the end of the second term of work. Students register for QSS-081 in the winter term and receive a grade of “ON” (ongoing) at the end of the term.  Students do not register for the subsequent term. A final grade will replace the “ON” at the end of the subsequent term at which time the coursework must be completed.
