WRIT 44 Writing and Science
This writing-intensive course examines selected topics in scientific communication. The topics include writing and speaking science, poster presentations, grants writing, and other forms of scientific communication for scientific and non-scientific audiences.
Students will read and analyze scientific literature, study the theory of science and communication, work with existing data, develop strong advanced writing processes, analyze and employ effective rhetorical decisions for different audiences, analyze the relationship between form and content, and produce different kinds of scientific documents and presentations.
