QBS 110 Integrative Biomedical Sciences Seminar & Programming Workshop
This required pre-term course for first-year QBS PhD students offers an overview of the diverse landscape of biomedical research within the Quantitative Biomedical Sciences program. Each session features brief presentations from faculty members highlighting their current research and potential lab rotation opportunities. This exposure is intended to help students make informed decisions about their first-year lab rotations. Students will have the opportunity to engage more deeply with faculty research during the fall term in QBS 270: First-Year QBS PhD Journal Club. Additionally, all first-year students will participate in a programming workshop. This workshop provides and introduction to programming R and covers topics such as data wrangling, data visualization, data analytics, HPC at Dartmouth, intro to GIT, and LaTeX.
