LING 11.27 History and Structure of Sanskrit
This class introduces students to the core phonological and grammatical structures of Sanskrit, and also explains how those structures developed from prehistory through the classical period. By the end of the term, students will be able to read and write simple sentences in Sanskrit, using the Devan\u0101gar\u012B writing system, and will have learned how Sanskrit is related to other Indo-European languages such as English, Latin, and Greek.
