ARTH 26.06 FSP: Advanced Language and Culture of Rome

The Language and Culture of Rome.  An advanced language and composition course in which students will work with a wide range of linguistic and cultural materials in order to achieve competence in Italian grammar, and oral and written expression. Students expand their active use of Italian, refine communicative, reading, and writing strategies, and comprehensively review grammar. All classes will be conducted in Italian. Note that this course may not be counted as part of the Art History major or minor. Not open to students who have received credit for ITAL 009.

The course includes active participation in class discussions, oral presentations, and regular reading and writing assignments in Italian literature and culture, including areas of fiction, film, music, and journalism.
