ASTR 81.02 Special topics in Astronomy, with observing
This course is an advanced study of a topic in observational astronomy, including a one to two-week observing session at a major research observatory. During their time at the observatory, students will have the opportunity to operate a telescope and collect data for their observational project. At the completion of the observing, students analyze some of the data they obtained at the observatory. Speci\ffic research topics will vary and could range from studies of exoplanets, stars or other galaxies, depending on faculty and student interest.
