BIOL 71 Current Topics in Cell Biology
Different offerings of this course will cover one or more specific advanced topics in cell biology such as cell division, chromosome structure and function, signal transduction, the cytoskeleton, membrane assembly, organellar size sensing and scaling, and intracellular protein targeting. Material will be presented in a manner designed to encourage student participation and to demonstrate how modern molecular, biochemical, immunological, and genetic techniques are employed to study problems in cell biology. Reading assignments will be taken from the current research literature. Students may take more than one offering of this course
