The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy
The Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies offers programs leading to the PhD degree in the following areas: biochemistry and cell biology; biological sciences; chemistry; cognitive neuroscience; computer science; earth sciences; ecology, evolution, environment & society (EEES); engineering sciences; experimental and molecular medicine; health policy and clinical practice; integrative neuroscience; mathematics; microbiology and immunology; molecular and systems biology; physics and astronomy; psychological and brain sciences; and quantitative biomedical sciences. The minimum residence requirement for the PhD degree is six terms (two academic years). Degree requirements are established by the individual departments.
