PH 201 Public Health Foundations

This Foundations of Public Health course provides an overview of the principles and concepts of public health. This course introduces public health functions, principles of prevention, and evidence-based approaches to public health. The course also provides an overview of the determinants that influence health including biological and genetic factors, social and behavioral determinants of health, environmental influences, economic and political factors impacting health, and culture and health inequities.

*Core Requirement for Residential MPH & MS  (PH 110) and Online and Hybrid MPH (PH 201).  PH 110 and PH 201 are cross listed.
