GEOG 48 Geographies of the Middle East

This course will exam several geographic themes: Location, Natural Resources, Economics, Politics, Mibility, Gender, Identity, and Tourism within the Middle East Region. Our inquiry will begin by discussing the social and political boarders, boundaries, and ideological constructions of what constitutes the changing boarders, boundaries and ideological constructions of what constitutes the changing boarders/boundaries of the "Middle East" as vernacular spatial descriptor.
